Dr. Lee Barnett


Dr. Lee Barnett has over 15 years of higher education experience including service as a President, Provost, Professor, Recruiter and Director of Distance Education.

Dr. Barnett completed his B.A in religion from Belmont University, two master’s degrees (in religious studies and religious education), and a Doctor of Ministry degree (with emphasis in Christian Education and youth ministry) from Liberty University. Lee pursued additional doctoral studies at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a PhD in Adult & Higher Education at Auburn University. In addition to 20 years of church staff ministry, Lee has served on the faculties of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Liberty University, Toccoa Falls College, Bryan College, Southeastern Bible College, Williamson Christian College, and Knowledge Elements.

Dr. Barnett has designed curriculum guides that have been adopted by other instructors and institutions and he is the co-author of Ministry With Youth In Crisis (Cascade Books).

Lee's focus areas for EMS will be in client engagement especially related to extension sites.
