Dr. Tweedell is skilled in assessment and accreditation issues. She has worked with numerous accrediting bodies including: TRACS, ABHE, HLC, SACS, and NEASC. For eight years she directed assessment and accreditation for the College of Adult and Professional Studies at Indiana Wesleyan University. As Executive Director of the Center for Research in Adult Learning, Dr. Tweedell consulted and collaborated with institutions to improve their online and multi-site programs. She has served the Higher Learning Commission as a Peer Reviewer, Team Chair, and member of the Accreditation Review Council for over 15 institutions. In her current position as Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning for Mid-Continent University, she assures quality of programs and services as well as overseeing compliance and accreditation. Dr. Tweedell is a frequent presenter on issues of retention and innovative modes of delivery. She has co-authored two sociology textbooks, and Systems of Excellence in Adult Education (all with Triangle Publishing). Dr. Tweedell holds masters degrees from University of North Carolina-Greensboro and University of Chicago. She holds the Ph.D. from Walden University.
